The Dragon Prince and the Seven Shadow Warriors C11

Chapter 11: To Learn

"I'm impressed that you killed the Wolfman, that should not have been such an easy task, especially for a boy.  But now, you've changed, you've grown, you've matured."  Uncle Lannis spoke..

"You bet Sam is, he's the strongest person I've ever met..."  Calebb said with a big smile on his face.

"How would you know that Calebb, you've just only met Sam?  "

"I just do...."  The young boy kept that bright smile on his face.

The three of them continued to eat the venison, Sam was particularly quiet that evening, there was a mystique, that surrounded Lannis and his abode.  "How have you handled your Rage, Sam?

"What do you mean....?"  Samwell asked?

"Your eyes glow white, and you can't control yourself...  I know, my brother was the same, or your father.  The Dragon King.....well, before you.  "

"I didn't know you knew about that, i was the only one who knew about that, well me and my other...... well just me." Sam responded.

"Over time, you will learn to control the Rage inside of you.  You seem to have unleashed a great deal of Rage, and that is why your form has change.  Anger ages men, turns them cold, inside and out.  The stress lengthens the hair.  Your father couldn't control his inner Rage, he let it consume him, and he perished."  Lannis looked away in remorse, he excused himself from the wooden table.  He walked outside into the night, the brisk air rain through his hair, and down his spine.  Calebb continued to eat, still with a smile on his face, he excited about eating.  Sam, on the other hand, followed his Uncle out into the cold dark air.  The bright white stars in the grim night lit up the sky.

"You will learn, the Conductor of Fate brought you too me, Sam.  You were brought here, To LEARN!  I will teach you how to master your Rage, and use it for good deeds, in a world where good deeds are lost...

We will start tomorrow...

Here, I have something for you..."  Lannis fetched a nearby trunk.  He unlocked the lock, and pulled out a blade.  "This was your father's... until he... you know."  The blade had ancient dragonian markings that covered the handle, the blade itself was heavy, and it was bright red, the color of ember.  "The sword of the true Dragon King, it says."  Lannis informed Sam, but the Prince possessed a look that he had already knew.....
