The Dragon Prince and the Seven Shadow Warriors

Chapter 9: "Too Far"

"You're glad we're free Felix?"  Amadeus asked his brother.  "Of course I am, now its time for us to eat."  He answered.

"Look over that ridge, it looks like a small village.  They should have food there."

Felix lead his brothers into the village, there was no name for this establishment, seeing how small it was.  There was farms and fresh veggies, with a lots of freshly steamed venison  waiting to be devoured.  Just how far would they go.... or how far would HE go...
"Welcome to our humble abode," a nearby farmer greeted.  "If you boys are hungry just go down to the local open farm and purchase whatever you can."  The man said with a smile.

"Uhh... Felix, do we have any coin?"

"We don't need any coin brother!  Take advantage of the gifts I have given you.  Just take what you want!  And that goes for all of you!"

The same farmer looked closely at the eldest brother give his siblings his thoughts, he had sensed that something was going to go wrong soon.  Suddenly, the once seven beings, had become distant shadows of speed and power.  As each second past, people began to fall to the ground, with their red waste spilling out beneath them.  The brothers were stealing the people's crops, while murdering them.  The people never saw them coming, only shadows from their bodies.  The farmer had escaped into his home, only to have his door ripped open by Felix.  The poor man had his hands wide, in front of a cowering girl beneath him.  He was protecting her.... but it ended up being futile in the end.  "That girl looks about my age."  Felix said with a smile.

"You know I have never been with a woman, this looks like the last day I will be able to say that."  Felix started to approach the man, every step he took mimicked the man's frightened heartbeat.  They were only hairs apart now, they could smell each other's breath.  The old man gazed hopelessly into Felix's dark grey eyes, he couldn't move.  Every inch of his body was engulfed in fear.  "Step aside old man!"

The old man didn't budge.  Felix grabbed the man trembling throat, and started to squeeze rigorously.  The man whispered faintly to his daughter, "Don't worry, Your mother and I will wait for you...."

Felix forcefully squeezed the mans neck one last time, till there was a snap.  The man fell too the hard floor.  The girl was vulnerable, "Looks like today is my lucky day," Felix said to himself.

Justus approached Felix from behind, "Thats enough brother, you've gone too far!"  Felix pushed his brother back, "We leave when I say we leave!"

Amadeus looked on from afar in disbelief.  He fell to one knee, his hands were the only thing keeping him upright.  The ground was cool and soft, the farmers respected what they had lived on.  The young one's hands sunk deeper into the dirt, only removing them to avoid the running blood from a nearby corpse.  Its funny, the once farmers never tried using blood as a healthy fertilizer until now....
